Best NCLEX Review and Question book
|
| Review Date: December 27, 2003 |
| Reviewer: Susan McEachern, Longmont, CO United States |
| I am part of a study group and we have 9 different NCLEX Review books between us. This DelMar book is the best NCLEX review book of the 9 that we have. Some features that make this book better than others are: 1. The book is broken down into sections with review and summary information, then questions specific to that section. Most other books just have practice tests with questions from all the different areas and you have to crawl through them to find the ones relevant to the subject you're studying. 2. This book also has comprehensive tests 3. This book has excellent test taking advice 4. This book has outstanding rationale for the questions offered. Some other books only list the correct answer and why that's the correct answer, but this book also explains why the incorrect answers are not correct. (Sounds confusing, but basically it tells you not only why answer "3" is correct, but tells you why "1", "2", and "4" are not correct.) 5. This book has a guarantee that you will pass the NCLEX after using their book and practice tests. |
I passed with 75 minimal questions

I have been out of nursing field since I graduated from College 8 years ago in TW (English is not my native language). However, since I decided to get RN license in US, my friend recommended me to get this book. I spent 30 days studying it, almost finished all the practice questions, and then I passed, got my RN license.
The best feature of this book is it has outstanding rationale for each question in the book. Tell you why you should choose the answer and why not choose the others, which really helped me to analyze the question and get the right answer when taking the real RN exam. |
VERY GOOD BOOK TO PASS NCLEX

| I took the NCLEX on January 23rd 2006 and passed it the first time. I started studying this book on Dec 29th and graduated from nursing school in May 2005. This review showed me what to look for and was an excellent review since I had been out of school for that long. There are practice test at the end of each unit and 8 100 question practice test @ the end of the book. I never used the CD and went over some practice dosage calculations from another book since other reviewers said it had errors in that part. I also only took 3 of the practice test in the back but took all the test at the end of the units. Get this book its $50 I did not use anything else or go to any live costly reviews & passed the NCLEX and felt confident while taking it. I also recommend Frye's 3000 nursing bullets. |
The best NCLEX review book there is

| I passed the NCLEX with 75 questions. This is the best NCLEX review book I could find. I bought it because it had the section devoted specifically to drugs and it had medication administration review and 8 100 question tests at the back. The book is informative the questions are actually harder or equal to the questions on the NCLEX. I read this book all the way through and I took all the tests in the back. I also have Saunders comprehensive review, but I thought the questions were too easy. The only down fall to this book is that it has errors in the medicaton calculation area and on the CD. The CD was not useful because it had so many errors. So, get the book but forget about the CD. I also got NCLEX 250 new format review questions by Lippincott that I would recommend. |
What a help!

| WOW this book has everything. I love how it gives a condensed yet comprehensive review of each area of nursing. I've been a LPN for 16 yrs and am now back in college to get my RN. This book is a perfect refresher and learning source and I highly recommend it. |
